Much of writing is an attempt to capture and preserve some moment or moments that define a person's life and what was truly meaningful and significant for them before all is swept away by the relentless tides of time. So, in essence, what is written is an act of resurrection - an act of bringing back what has passed. "Resurrecting Passion" is a really fine poem and does this beautifully. This is the opening stanza:

Last night, while dawn was far away

and rain streaked gray, tumescent skies,

as thunder boomed and lightning railed,

I conjured words, where passion failed...
