“To the Boy Elis” is one of my absolute favorites of your translations. It possesses a haunting beauty that is quite chilling. I also find Trakl’s use of color symbolism fascinating. It makes me think of how Sylvia Plath used the colors blue and red in a symbolic way.

I have been a fan of eerie, haunting poems from my boyhood, when my mother used to recite "The Highwayman" to her enthralled children.

I love eerie, haunting poems as well. It’s pretty fitting that the first journal that published my work specializes in dark literature.
