These are my modern English translations of Middle English poems I like to think of as small marvels...
I love Chaucer, and I love them all.
Saved by poetry, I am.
"Merciless Beauty" is my favorite Chaucer poem.
By all truth, I tell you faithfully that you are of life and death my queen.
And by all that I know O Merciless Beauty I hear you calling I feel your grip my queen.
The man had a way with words, no?
Yes, all the poets do and they are all divine prime
A stream of poetic teaching!
Some readers complain that it's a flood! ;-)
A compliment, and they better climb to higher ground.
It will be difficult to evade that Deluge!
Yes I fear that’s right
