Today (May 28th, '24) Ireland, Norway and Spain will formally recognise the State of Palestine. From now on, Ireland will have a Palestinian Ambassador, a Palestinian Embassy, and will fly the Palestinian flag above Government Buildings.
The journey out of the nightmare of Gaza, in which countless thousands of innocent people, including women and children, are being butchered daily by the Israeli army, must begin somewhere, and peace must come through justice - not annihilation. Peace plans, such as this one, are vital, and must be read now, and acted upon. There is no time to lose!
Salutations to Ireland and the Irish people for taking this very important step toward a lasting, just peace, which can only come when Palestinians enjoy the same rights as the Irish, after their long struggle for equality and justice.
This is a very wise peace plan, Mike, and it is good to see it here on Substack as well. I truly hope it is implemented someday. Thank you for all that you do to serve the “great causes of humanity and peace.”
Thanks Shannon. A group of dedicated peace activists said it was the best peace plan they had seen, but it's hard to get the proposal to people who can make it happen. The more the idea is shared, the better chance it has of success.
Martin, thanks for sharing the peace plan with the office of Ireland's foreign minister. I hope he is able to read the proposal, and do something with it.
He is a very busy man, especially at the moment, but I have no doubt whatsoever that he will read it. I will get back to you once I have an official reply from the Foreign Office here in Ireland.

I second that, Shannon.
