You have written so many truly great poems. Even if you were to use this relatively small collection alone, if would make a wonderful Selected Poems.

Martin, I'm glad you think so. And I think the fact that good poems go viral, with readers investing their time in cutting and pasting poems they like, proves many people still like poetry. A huge positive for poets able to write evocative poems.

Yes, they seem to want a quick fix of something meaningful to ponder in their busy daily lives. And, in my view, there's nothing more meaningful or spiritual than good poetry. But the key thing is they want it and seem to need it in whatever convenient form it comes to them. Rather remarkably though this is a top class selection.

I'm glad you like the selection. The problem for poets is (1) writing evocative poetry that readers find moving and/or meaningful enough to invest their time in, and (2) getting the poems "out there" where they can be read. I was able to get a number of THT pages to show up well with Google for relevant search terms. Publishing on websites that rank well with Google also helps, such as AllPoetry, PoemHunter, HelloPoetry, etc. I pay close attention to which websites rank well with Google. So far Substack is not doing all that well with Google, but it may take time.

That's all very interesting, and I'm certain that Substack will pick up in Google's rankings because all of the Substack users I've interacted with are poets and most of them have joined only in the past few months.

It's more complicated than that. We'll have to see how Substack shows up with Google. So far, not at all, that I can tell. Sites like AllPoetry and PoemHunter are dedicated to poetry and have thousands of poets, and the sites have years of proving relevance to Google for poetry.

Yes, you may be right. My Wordpress site comes up quite readily on Google, but I've seen no sign of Substack just yet. Anyway, your Google collection is really fine for now!
